Global Commodity Buyer Capital Expenditures (Capex)

What you will do

• Manage categories and suppliers for capital expenditures, including machinery, equipment, construction, and facility services.
• Develop and implement cross-site category strategies.
• Optimize supplier portfolios through supplier consolidation and reduction initiatives.
• Define sourcing strategies, initiate procurement processes, conduct tenders, and select suppliers with relevant stakeholders.
• Lead framework agreement and contract negotiations and manage contracts.
• Identify and implement operational and strategic procurement improvements in a global matrix organization.

Requirements

• Degree in Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a comparable field.
• 5–10 years of professional experience in indirect global category management or project procurement within an industrial company.
• Experience purchasing capital goods and complex services is advantageous.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, or other eProcurement and reporting tools is desirable.
• Proactive, structured, and self-driven working style with strong assertiveness, negotiation, and communication skills.
• Business-fluent German and English, written and spoken, plus willingness to travel for business.
