Senior Category Manager (FMCG)

What you will do

• Manage the end-to-end FMCG category process, including assortment, pricing, suppliers, inventory, and promotions.
• Build and maintain strategic partnerships with national, regional, and local suppliers.
• Analyse category performance, customer demand, market trends, and assortment gaps to identify growth opportunities.
• Optimize product assortment to meet local customer needs and maintain healthy stock availability.
• Develop and execute category sales strategies and long-term plans tailored to the local market.
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams.

Requirements

• Experience in category management, buying, merchandising, or procurement, ideally in FMCG.
• Strong understanding of customers, market dynamics, assortment, and commercial principles.
• Experience managing suppliers and building effective commercial partnerships.
• Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Fluent German and English; proactive, driven, and results-oriented approach.
