Manager, Facilities

Location: Reno, Nevada, United States; onsite support of a manufacturing operation.

What you will do

• Lead, coach, and provide technical support to one Facilities Technician while remaining hands-on with maintenance activities.
• Set daily and weekly maintenance priorities based on safety, production needs, preventive maintenance requirements, equipment condition, and available resources.
• Support reliable operation and troubleshooting of HVAC, compressed air, electrical distribution, process piping, pumps, motors, chillers, heaters, and related facility systems.
• Coordinate with Operations, Engineering, EHS, Quality, Purchasing, equipment suppliers, contractors, and service providers.
• Use SAP as the computerized maintenance management system to create, assign, track, update, and close work orders.
• Maintain accurate records, identify recurring failures, support facility and capital projects, manage facilities contracts, and contribute to annual planning and budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Facilities Engineering, or equivalent technical training and experience.
• 3–5 years of supervisory or team leadership experience in maintenance, facilities, manufacturing, engineering, construction, or a related technical environment.
• Hands-on experience maintaining manufacturing equipment, industrial facilities, and mechanical and electrical systems.
• Experience planning and executing preventive and corrective maintenance using a CMMS.
• Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities cross-functionally.
• Knowledge of OSHA regulations, Lockout/Tagout, NFPA 70E, contractor safety, and industrial safe work practices is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Experience with SAP maintenance planning, work order management, spare parts management, and equipment history tracking.
• Experience with root cause analysis, reliability-centered maintenance, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement.
