Senior Software Engineer (Mainframe)

Location: Wilmington, Delaware, United States; in-office work is required four days every week.

Salary: $153,358 per year

What you will do

• Support day-to-day operations and resolve incidents on TSYS-related platforms.
• Design, code, test, and implement enhancements for mainframe applications.
• Translate business and technical requirements into solutions and provide development estimates.
• Maintain batch and online processing environments and participate in integration and regression testing.
• Create technical documentation and follow secure coding practices and internal standards.
• Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Management, Information Systems, Business Administration, Management Information Systems, Computer Information Systems, or a related field.
• Five years of experience as a Software Engineer, Systems Engineer, Programmer Analyst, or in a related occupation.
• Five years of experience with VSAM, COBOL, JCL, TSO/ISPF, Control-M, CA7, DB2 or IMS, mainframe change management tools, NDM/FTP/SFTP, and troubleshooting abends and performance issues.
• Three years of experience with TSYS architecture, credit card platform components, transaction processing modules, TSYS data navigation, file layouts, tables, API integration, CICS, and Easytrieve.
• Experience working across legacy and modern tools, including File Aid and LeanFT test automation.
• Regular in-office presence in Wilmington, Delaware is required four days per week.
