Senior Engineer (Java/Ad Tech)

Location: Hybrid schedule with remote work on Monday and Friday and in-office work Tuesday through Thursday in Broomfield, Colorado; Los Angeles, California; or New York City, New York.

Base salary: $130,000–$140,000 in Colorado, $140,000–$150,000 in California, and $140,000–$150,000 in New York.

What you will do

• Design, develop, test, release, and maintain core advertising server and buying platform functionality.
• Translate business requirements into technical designs, project plans, and production-ready code.
• Write unit tests and deliver reliable, maintainable solutions for challenging technical problems.
• Manage project priorities, deadlines, deliverables, feature requests, bug reports, and performance issues.
• Collaborate with multiple teams, perform design and code reviews, and support production services.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of relevant software development experience.
• Backend development experience with Java and a strong understanding of asynchronous programming.
• Strong knowledge of algorithms and data structures, including the ability to evaluate technical and business trade-offs.
• Experience with agile development, Git, Jenkins or similar build management systems, Jira, SQL, relational databases, and table design.
• Ability to context-switch and manage competing priorities.

Nice to have

• Advertising technology experience, especially production experience with header bidding technologies.
