Water & Wastewater Engineering Project Manager

Location: Candidates must reside in California and hold an active California Professional Engineer (PE) license. Flexible remote, hybrid, and in-office arrangements are available from locations in Rancho Cordova, Walnut Creek, Oakland, Santa Clara, Los Angeles, and San Diego.

Projected compensation: $160,000–$180,000+ annually, depending on experience.

What you will do

• Lead the planning, design, and delivery of water and wastewater infrastructure projects.
• Manage project scope, schedules, budgets, resources, risks, contracts, change orders, and financial performance.
• Lead client presentations, workshops, stakeholder meetings, and long-term infrastructure planning discussions.
• Coordinate engineering, environmental, planning, and construction teams to deliver integrated solutions.
• Ensure compliance with regulations, permits, and industry standards throughout project phases.
• Support business development through opportunity identification, proposals, pursuits, and interviews.

Requirements

• Residence in California and an active California PE license are required.
• 10+ years of water and wastewater engineering experience.
• Experience managing water and wastewater project planning, design, and delivery.
• Experience managing project scope, schedule, budget, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or a related engineering discipline.
• Client relationship and business development experience; AutoCAD and Civil 3D proficiency is preferred.
