Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) - Body-in-White (Automotive)

Location: Troy, Michigan, USA; onsite role. Applicants must be permanently authorized to work full time in the United States.

What you will do

• Support supplier quality and performance for body-in-white, body, structures, and chassis components.
• Administer the APQP process and hold suppliers accountable to quality requirements.
• Develop and implement supplier KPIs and scorecards, including actions to improve performance.
• Evaluate suppliers for production awards and manage supplier development activities.
• Coordinate sourcing, quality, tooling, and parts delivery against program milestones, budget, and schedule.
• Work with engineering, manufacturing, and internal and external customers on technical requirements, GD&T, and drawing standards.

Requirements

• Engineering degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of supplier quality experience, including site audits, continuous improvement, APQP, lean problem-solving, and team leadership.
• Experience with stampings, extrusions, castings, seals, and other varied components.
• Strong supplier KPI and scorecard development and implementation skills.
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, communication, and relationship-building skills.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States is required; visa sponsorship is not available.
