Supplier Quality and Development Engineer (SQE/SDE)

Location: Available in one of two locations; candidates must already have work authorization permitting employment with hirify.global in the United States. The role includes travel of up to 50% and on-site supplier activities.

What you will do

• Execute supplier qualification, assessment, audit, and compliance activities across the ELSP NAM hub.
• Lead supplier product qualification, PPAP approvals, product surveillance, and early supplier involvement in product development.
• Resolve supplier quality issues, late deliveries, non-conforming products, and project service claims using structured corrective action methods.
• Develop and implement Supplier Quality Wins plans, assessments, Kaizen actions, and supplier training workshops.
• Monitor supplier quality, on-time delivery, and other performance KPIs through Supplier360.
• Improve supplier quality procedures and support the development, training, and adoption of Supplier360 capabilities.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field and 10+ years of experience.
• At least 5 years of experience in supplier quality, quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or a related role.
• Working knowledge of supplier qualification, audits, PPAP or equivalent readiness processes, and structured problem-solving methods such as 8D, A3, and DMAIC.
• Experience leading containment, root-cause analysis, corrective actions, KPI management, and risk reduction.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications and collaborate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, and suppliers.
• Existing US work authorization is required; ability to travel up to 50% is required.

Nice to have

• Lean Six Sigma or ASQ certifications, including CQE or CQA.
• Experience with Quality Wins methodologies.
• Fluent written and spoken Spanish.
