Senior Supplier Quality Engineer

Location: Sidney, Ohio, USA; hybrid work with at least three days per week in the office

What you will do

• Lead supplier quality system, process, and technical capability audits using the hirify.global Supplier Audit.
• Support supplier selection, development, sourcing decisions, and supplier transitions.
• Monitor supplier quality performance and implement corrective actions to achieve quality objectives.
• Review and disposition PPAPs, deviations, audit findings, corrective actions, PFMEAs, and Control Plans.
• Provide manufacturing process guidance, support lean projects, conduct training, and follow up on supplier improvements.
• Support new product development, design reviews, process and tooling optimization, and supervision of co-op or intern students.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field plus five years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with APQP, flow charting, Control Plans, FMEA, DFM, statistical process control, Measurement System Analysis, corrective action, and process improvement.
• Knowledge of quality systems, ISO 9000 and/or TS16949, manufacturing processes, and supplier quality auditing.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including GD&T.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills; willingness to travel up to 15% within North America.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States; visa sponsorship is not provided.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with ten years of experience, or a Master’s degree in Engineering or MBA.
• ASQ CQA, CQE, or CQM certification.
• Certified Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent.
• Advanced statistics, problem-solving, process improvement, and quality auditing expertise.
• Broad knowledge of manufacturing processes and hirify.global products.
