Electrical Engineering Manager - Sustaining (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States

Annual salary: $131,900–$165,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Manage, develop, and motivate the electrical engineering department.
• Coordinate electrical engineering resources and assignments across multidisciplinary software, mechanical, design quality, and sustaining projects.
• Mentor engineers, support career development and training, track progress, and contribute to performance reviews.
• Plan departmental budgets, expenditures, logistics, vendors, laboratory equipment, and operational improvements.
• Review electrical specifications, design documentation, and test reports.
• Coordinate technical responses to manufacturing and customer issues with Manufacturing, Procurement, Quality Assurance, Service, and Regulatory Affairs.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of development experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience on an electrical engineering team.
• Experience with analog and digital design, PCB development, communication protocols, and EMC.
• Development experience in a regulated industry, including applying international safety and performance standards such as IEC 60601, FCC, and IPC.
• Proven debugging skills and strong written and verbal communication.
