Sr Engineer III, Electronics (Medical Devices)

Location: On-site in Irvine, California, United States

Annual salary: $130,000–$170,000, plus bonus or incentive pay.

What you will do

• Lead the design and development of analog and digital electronic circuits for medical device applications.
• Own hardware activities across architecture, schematic development, implementation, verification, and sustaining engineering.
• Support PCB layout, board bring-up, high-speed design, troubleshooting, and product performance improvements.
• Collaborate with software, mechanical, systems, manufacturing, and quality engineering teams to integrate hardware into finished products.
• Contribute to product reliability, compliance, and critical technical decisions throughout the development lifecycle.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• 10+ years of progressive experience in electronics design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Strong expertise in analog and digital circuit design.
• Experience with schematic capture tools such as PADS, OrCAD, Altium, or equivalent.
• Experience supporting PCB layout, board bring-up, high-speed design methodologies, and the full product development lifecycle.
• Ability to work on-site in Irvine, California.

Nice to have

• Medical device or other regulated product development experience.
• Familiarity with IEC 60601-1 and related compliance standards.
• Experience with EMC/EMI design, testing, troubleshooting, signal integrity, and power integrity.
• Experience with PSPICE, Multisim, or equivalent electrical simulation tools.
• Programming experience in C for embedded systems support.
