Electrical Engineering Manager - Sustaining (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, Massachusetts, United States; onsite role with 10–15% travel.

Annual salary: $131,900–$165,000, plus eligibility for an annual bonus.

What you will do

• Manage, develop, and motivate the electrical engineering department.
• Plan resources and coordinate assignments across electrical, mechanical, design quality, and software development projects.
• Mentor engineers, support career development and training, and contribute to performance reviews.
• Review technical specifications, design documentation, and test reports for electrical designs.
• Plan responses to manufacturing and customer issues and coordinate cross-functional support with manufacturing, procurement, quality, service, and regulatory teams.
• Manage budgets, vendors, laboratory equipment, procedures, logistics, and departmental improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and 7+ years of electrical engineering development experience.
• 3+ years of leadership experience managing an electrical engineering team.
• Experience with analog and digital design, PCB development, communication protocols, EMC, and debugging.
• Experience developing products in a regulated industry and applying standards such as IEC 60601, FCC, and IPC.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
