Fuel and Air-to-Air Refuelling (AAR) Systems Engineer (F/M) for Military Aircraft Development Projects

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid work model when possible.

What you will do

• Support current and future research and development projects in air-to-air refuelling through modelling and design.
• Develop technologies and prototypes for testing on Airbus aircraft, including simulation, rapid prototyping, and mechatronics solutions.
• Prepare design reviews from preliminary design review through critical design review and test readiness review.
• Define component- and system-level test requirements, support test execution, and prepare analysis and reports.
• Prepare technical documentation supporting permit-to-fly activities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of relevant professional experience.
• Aeronautical engineering degree or an equivalent five-year degree in mechanical or electrical engineering.
• Demonstrated mechatronics experience.
• Experience with MATLAB Simulink and verification and validation in laboratory, rig, or aircraft environments.
• Negotiation-level English.
• Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, with strong adaptation, communication, and problem-solving skills.

• Experience with data analytics tools and Python.
• Experience in research and development projects.
• Experience in flight-line or production environments.
• Proactivity in solving technical issues.
