Staff Systems Administrator (Aerospace)

hirify.global is hiring for a security-sensitive enterprise IT environment supporting a separately governed international office entity.

What you will do

• Own and operate on-premises and cloud infrastructure, including servers, storage, backups, identity services, networks, and enterprise applications.
• Administer Azure and/or AWS environments, maintaining availability, secure configuration, monitoring, capacity, backup, and disaster recovery readiness.
• Operate segmented and firewalled entity environments with controlled identities, data, administration, suppliers, and cross-entity connectivity.
• Implement system and endpoint hardening, patching, vulnerability remediation, encryption, EDR/XDR, access controls, logging, and security monitoring.
• Manage Active Directory, Entra ID, Windows, macOS, and Linux endpoints through Intune, Jamf, or equivalent platforms.
• Lead onboarding, offboarding, advanced troubleshooting, asset lifecycle management, vendor coordination, documentation, and infrastructure automation.

Requirements

• 12+ years of experience in systems administration, infrastructure engineering, enterprise IT operations, or a related discipline.
• Hands-on expertise with Windows, macOS, Linux, virtualization, Azure and/or AWS, Active Directory, and Entra ID or equivalent identity platforms.
• Experience with system hardening, configuration baselines, patch management, vulnerability remediation, encryption, endpoint detection and response, and least-privilege controls.
• Strong networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing, VPNs, network segmentation, firewall policies, and secure remote access.
• Experience with endpoint management, monitoring, backup, disaster recovery, business continuity, audits, and compliance evidence.
• Ability to work on-site in London, support time-sensitive operations, and participate in planned after-hours maintenance or incident response.

Nice to have

• Experience with firewalled, ring-fenced, subsidiary, sovereign, joint-venture, air-gapped, export-controlled, or data-residency-restricted environments.
• Background supporting engineering, R&D, aerospace, defense, manufacturing, or other mission-critical technical teams.
• Knowledge of CIS, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, Cyber Essentials, or equivalent security and compliance frameworks.
• Experience with SIEM, vulnerability management, privileged access management, data-loss prevention, certificate management, or network access control.
• Scripting and automation with PowerShell, Bash, Python, APIs, infrastructure as code, or configuration-management tooling; relevant professional certifications.
