What you will do

• Develop, implement, and manage environmental programs, policies, procedures, and compliance systems.
• Conduct sampling and monitoring of environmental media, including air and water quality, and analyze data to identify patterns and environmental risks.
• Perform site audits and inspections to verify compliance with environmental regulations, permits, and applicable agency requirements.
• Manage hazardous, non-regulated, solid, and universal waste in accordance with federal, state, and local guidelines.
• Develop plans to prevent or mitigate environmental damage and coordinate responses to hydrocarbon spills, chemical leaks, and other emergencies.
• Collaborate with site operations, maintenance, capital project managers, corporate functions, regulatory agencies, auditors, and other third parties.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, permitting, or a related field.
• Three to five years of related work experience.
• Knowledge of environmental regulations and policies, including competency in OSHA and MSHA compliance.
• Proficiency with environmental monitoring technology and equipment, as well as SAP, Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Adobe.
• Strong written and verbal communication, organizational, problem-solving, collaboration, and self-management skills.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions and spend extended periods standing or sitting.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Nevada environmental permitting authorities and processes covering air, water, and land use.
