Senior Environmental Health and Safety Specialist (EHS)

Location: Waukesha, Wisconsin, USA; supports the Waukesha and Pewaukee sites and additional domestic and Canadian locations. Travel up to 20%.

What you will do

• Manage facility environmental and safety programs, including training, inspections, reporting, and recordkeeping.
• Lead hazardous waste management, waste reduction, recycling, industrial hygiene sampling, and chemical storage inspections.
• Conduct facility audits, job safety analyses, ergonomic assessments, and corrective action planning.
• Investigate incidents, near misses, releases, and property damage to identify root causes and implement controls.
• Lead emergency action planning, employee safety committees, and facility safety initiatives.
• Support multi-site audits, training, ISO 14001 compliance, and EHS initiatives across domestic and Canadian locations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 5 years of experience implementing occupational safety and environmental programs.
• At least 3 years of experience in a multi-site manufacturing or industrial environment.
• Working knowledge of OSHA, EPA, WDNR, DOT, local regulations, safety equipment, ergonomic analysis, and emergency action planning.
• Strong communication, analytical, coaching, mentoring, and cross-functional influencing skills.
• Ability to travel up to 20% and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

Nice to have

• CHMM, CSP, CIH, PE, or equivalent certification.
