Sr Product Development Engineer (Toys)

What you will do

• Support technical innovation and turn creative toy concepts into manufacturable solutions.
• Provide feasibility feedback to Design and Product Managers during early concept development.
• Assist with mechanism development, breadboard models, functional specifications, and engineering bills of materials.
• Translate toy design visions into technical specifications for development houses, tooling suppliers, and manufacturing plants.
• Provide engineering guidance and collaborate with Operations and cross-functional New Product Development teams.
• Support value engineering, advanced product quality planning, safety, quality, schedule, and financial targets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in the toys or consumer goods industry.
• Knowledge of engineering principles, toy development, automation, tooling, materials, molding, robotics, sound, logistics, and manufacturing processes.
• Experience with CAD software such as SolidWorks or Creo.
• Working knowledge of FEA, including the ability to read and understand results.
• Knowledge of plastic production, assembly techniques, statistics, probabilities, and toy industry standards such as ASTM and ISO.
