What you will do
- Develop and validate welding processes for new products, including manual, robotic, TIG, MIG/MAG, stud, resistance, and laser welding.
- Conduct welding trial production, DFM analysis, process validation, and quality control.
- Develop, commission, and accept welding fixtures, jigs, and automated welding equipment.
- Prepare Welding Procedure Qualifications, Welding Procedure Specifications, and welding operation SOPs.
- Train production personnel and analyze welding defects such as porosity, cracks, and lack of fusion.
- Program, debug, and maintain industrial welding robots, including robots.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in mechanical engineering, welding, or a related field.
- Experience in welding process development or application; power equipment experience is preferred.
- Proficiency in TIG, MIG/MAG, stud, resistance, and laser welding processes.
- Knowledge of welding quality inspection and procedure qualification standards, including ISO and AWS.
- Experience designing welding fixtures and jigs, operating manual welding equipment, and supporting automated welding lines.
- Proficiency with AutoCAD, SolidWorks, welding simulation software, and written and spoken English.
