Assistant Manager (Hospitality)

Location: Kings Arms, Sandford-on-Thames, Oxfordshire, United Kingdom

Salary: £31,000–£35,000 per year plus bonus

What you will do

• Support the General Manager with the day-to-day running of the pub.
• Lead shifts and take responsibility for the team in the General Manager’s absence.
• Coach and develop team members while creating a positive and supportive working environment.
• Maintain high standards across service, food, drinks and customer experience.
• Drive sales, identify growth opportunities and make the most of seasonal trading periods and the riverside garden.
• Support rotas, stock and cash management, kitchen communication, licensing, health and safety, and brand standards.

Requirements

• Previous experience as an Assistant Manager, Supervisor, Team Leader or in a similar role.
• Experience in a busy pub, restaurant, bar or hospitality environment.
• Confidence leading a team and taking ownership of shifts.
• Strong communication, coaching and customer service skills.
• Commercial awareness and the ability to remain organised and hands-on during busy periods.
• Passion for food, drinks, hospitality and building relationships with customers.
