TL;DR
Operations Manager (Hospitality): Leading 5+ stores and their General Managers across Scotland with an accent on hospitality standards, P&L ownership, people development, and operational planning. Focus on developing future leaders, optimizing labor and inventory, turning around underperforming stores, launching new locations, and implementing operational change.

Location: Scotland, United Kingdom. Regular travel between stores within the market is required. Full-time schedule of 50 hours per week, with availability for 5 days and 2 peak days, usually Friday, Saturday, or Sunday.

What you will do

  • Lead an area of 5+ stores and manage the General Managers responsible for them.
  • Coach managers to maintain hospitality standards, improve store performance, and close operational gaps.
  • Own area-level P&L planning, sales forecasts, labor targets, headcount, transfers, and inventory guardrails.
  • Develop General Managers and build succession pipelines from barista to General Manager.
  • Support struggling stores, launch new stores, and implement initiatives such as menu launches and technology tools.
  • Track KPIs, set weekly and quarterly priorities, and ensure each store executes its operating plan.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in hospitality, retail, or another fast-growing consumer business.
  • Experience leading multiple locations, typically 3–10, and developing the managers who run them.
  • Strong operational and financial judgment, including experience with P&L and KPI dashboards.
  • Experience hiring, coaching, developing managers, making decisions, and leading through change.
  • Strong strategic planning, written communication, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to travel regularly between stores in Scotland and work 50 hours per week with availability for 5 days and 2 peak days.
