Manufacturing Engineering Co-Op (Medical Devices)

Location: Chelmsford, MA, United States; onsite at the hirify.global headquarters

Salary: $27.00–$28.00 per hour

hirify.global develops medical devices, software, and related services for diagnosing and treating serious cardiopulmonary and respiratory conditions, including AEDs, trauma kits, ventilators, and temperature management solutions.

What you will do

• Support the manufacturing of medical devices within the Operations and Manufacturing Engineering departments.
• Create and update production fixtures, parts, and assemblies using 3D CAD and SolidWorks.
• Update engineering documentation and production work instructions.
• Investigate root causes and support improvements to quality, cost, and delivery.
• Develop and update production floor layouts.
• Work cross-functionally with Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial, and Quality Engineering personnel.

Requirements

• Must be enrolled in a degree program at the start of the Co-Op.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing, Electrical, or Biomedical Engineering.
• Completed at least the first year of the degree program with a minimum 2.5 GPA.
• Ability to use SolidWorks, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong communication, analytical, organizational, independent-working, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
• Experience creating engineering changes and supporting validation activities.
• Interest in learning and applying Lean and Six Sigma techniques.
