Manager - Strategic Projects & Strategy Deployment (Medical Devices)

Location: Bayan Lepas, Penang, Malaysia; hybrid working arrangement

What you will do

• Lead strategic projects, transformation programs, and PMO governance using hirify.global’s Project Execution Management methodology.
• Coach project managers, project teams, and business leaders while developing project management competencies and best practices.
• Provide portfolio insights, performance analysis, management reporting, risk management, and issue-resolution support.
• Coordinate the global PMO network across medical products manufacturing sites and functions.
• Lead annual Strategy Deployment and Operational Target Setting using Hoshin Kanri principles.
• Facilitate strategic planning workshops, performance reviews, and alignment between leadership priorities, operational execution, and project portfolios.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• At least 8 years of experience in strategic project management, PMO, operational excellence, consulting, business transformation, or a related field.
• Experience working with senior leadership and facilitating cross-functional decision-making.
• Strong knowledge of strategy deployment frameworks such as Hoshin Kanri, Balanced Scorecard, or Management by Objectives.
• Strong project and portfolio management, governance, risk management, reporting, facilitation, communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Experience in manufacturing, medical devices, healthcare, or another regulated industry is advantageous.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Operational Excellence, Lean Management, Six Sigma, or continuous improvement methodologies.
