Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO2) (Government)

Location: On-site at a government customer site in Columbia, Maryland, at least 5 days per week. No relocation is offered.

Salary: $98,100–$175,600 yearly

What you will do

• Execute Risk Management Framework procedures for system authorization, accreditation, and reaccreditation.
• Maintain asset records, System Security Plans, CONOPS, POA&Ms, and other information assurance documentation.
• Monitor and audit assigned systems for non-compliance, security gaps, and unmitigated risk.
• Evaluate security solutions for systems processing classified information and support security posture improvements.
• Implement and enforce information systems security policies, standards, configuration management, and identity and authentication controls.
• Coordinate with ISSMs, technical teams, mission stakeholders, and program leadership in a 24x7 mission environment, including after-hours support as needed.

Requirements

• TS/SCI clearance with polygraph required.
• At least 10 years of experience as an Information Systems Security Officer on programs of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• DoD 8570 compliance with IAM Level I required.
• Experience with security tools, hardware or software security implementation, communication protocols, or encryption techniques and tools.
• Ability to work on-site at the customer location in Columbia, Maryland.

Nice to have

• Experience supporting federal or Department of Defense programs in a classified environment.
• Familiarity with ODNI and DoD security policies, authorization processes, and compliance expectations.
• Experience partnering with ISSMs, system administrators, engineers, and mission stakeholders to resolve security findings.
• Ability to manage competing priorities and maintain accurate documentation in a mission-critical environment.
