TL;DR
Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) III (Cybersecurity): Maintaining the operational security posture of DoD information systems and Special Access Programs with an accent on authorization packages, continuous monitoring, and vulnerability mitigation. Focus on implementing RMF controls, coordinating system changes, reviewing audit records, and supporting TS/SCI environments with SAP requirements.

Location: Onsite in Bedford, Massachusetts, United States

Salary: $104,040–$140,760 per year. Sign-on bonus up to $10,000.

What you will do

  • Maintain the operational security posture of information systems supporting Department of Defense agencies and Special Access Programs.
  • Prepare, review, and update authorization packages, RMF documentation, and bodies of evidence.
  • Monitor authorization boundaries, audit records, system recovery, and compliance with approved security procedures.
  • Assess the security impact of hardware, software, and firmware changes and coordinate approvals with ISSM and authorization officials.
  • Identify cybersecurity vulnerabilities, support countermeasure implementation, and prepare security status reports.
  • Support Collateral, SCI, and SAP activities for internal, external, Department of Defense, national agency, and contractor customers.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Top Secret/SCI clearance required to start; ability to attain TS/SCI with CI Polygraph required.
  • At least 5 years of related experience, including experience developing RMF packages or bodies of evidence.
  • At least 2 years of Special Access Program experience required.
  • Experience as a system administrator, network administrator, or ISSO.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related area, an associate degree plus two years of experience, or equivalent experience; IAT Level II or IAM Level II certification required.

Nice to have

  • Certifications such as Security+ CE, CCNA Security, GICSP, or GSEC.
