Senior Network Engineer (Palo Alto)

Location: On-site in Tallahassee, Florida, United States

Salary: $75–$80 per hour based on experience

What you will do

• Configure, administer, and document firewall infrastructure access rules.
• Deploy firewalls, migrate rules, and convert existing rule-based policies to new platforms.
• Administer Palo Alto, Check Point, and GlobalProtect VPN environments.
• Maintain critical network security infrastructure, including next-generation firewalls, VPNs, log collectors, and monitoring systems.
• Configure cloud network firewalls and security policies while monitoring network traffic.

Requirements

• Must work on-site in Tallahassee, Florida.
• Must be a U.S. citizen or hold a U.S. Green Card with permanent residence.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 5–10 years of combined IT and information security experience.
• 3–5 years of experience with information security tools based on NIST standards.
• Knowledge of security issues, techniques, and implications across computer platforms, plus experience with infrastructure schematic diagramming tools.

Nice to have

• Experience with Palo Alto or Check Point next-generation firewalls.
• PCNSE, CISSP, CCNP, or CCIE certification.
