Senior Network Engineer (Palo Alto Networks)

Location: Remote; coverage required from 1:00 AM–9:00 AM EST.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex network and security incidents in production.
• Own tickets end-to-end, including triage, diagnosis, resolution, and documentation.
• Administer Palo Alto firewalls, including policy, NAT, VPN, and threat prevention.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive remediation.
• Support routing and switching operations using BGP, OSPF, and VLANs.
• Participate in an on-call rotation.

Requirements

• 5+ years of network engineering experience, primarily in operations and support.
• Hands-on experience troubleshooting and administering Palo Alto firewalls.
• Experience working with ticketing systems such as ServiceNow or Jira.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently in a production environment.
• Clear technical documentation and communication skills.
• Availability for coverage from 1:00 AM–9:00 AM EST.

Nice to have

• PCNSA or PCNSE certification.
