Production Operations Internship (Summer 2027) (Aerospace Manufacturing)

Hourly pay: $30–$50 USD

What you will do

• Perform hands-on machining, assembly, and testing while learning how parts are produced.
• Identify bottlenecks, rework, and wasted motion, then collaborate with operators and engineers on improvements.
• Support Protoshop programs from product design through build, testing, and qualification.
• Develop and document standard work, fixtures, tooling, and repeatable process improvements.
• Track throughput, cycle time, yield, and scrap to evaluate process changes.
• Coordinate with engineering, supply chain, quality, and program management to keep builds on schedule.

Requirements

• Must be a U.S. person under ITAR: a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected person under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).
• Willingness to work hands-on on the production floor.
• Interest in machining, assembly, testing, manufacturing processes, and continuous improvement.
• Ability to collaborate with operators, engineers, supply chain, quality, and program management.
