Supplier Quality Engineer Intern (Winter 2027)

Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite role

What you will do

• Analyze failure modes and root causes, and implement corrective actions.
• Design quality requirements and specifications for supplied parts and manufacturing processes.
• Develop inspection and testing plans, including reprocessing and repair methods.
• Monitor supplier performance and purchased-part status, and communicate updates to management.
• Support manufacturing process development at supplier sites.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in engineering, business, supply chain, or a related discipline.
• Ability to analyze and resolve complex problems.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or refugee/asylee status required under U.S. space technology export regulations.

Nice to have

• Manufacturing experience.
• Experience with quality management systems.
• Experience with inspection methods, metrology, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and data sheets.
