Principal Product Manager (AI)

Location: Sunnyvale, California, United States; home office

Annual salary: $143,000–$286,000, plus performance-based bonuses and potential stock compensation.

What you will do

• Define and evolve product strategies across multiple related products using market insights and data-driven analysis.
• Lead comprehensive product roadmaps aligned with business goals, technical feasibility, and resource priorities.
• Drive organization-level decisions through advanced analytics, customer insights, and cross-functional collaboration with senior stakeholders.
• Establish scalable mechanisms for collecting customer feedback and usage data, then translate findings into measurable problem statements and success metrics.
• Oversee the product lifecycle from MVP creation and launch execution through risk mitigation and ongoing optimization.
• Mentor product managers and promote stronger product management practices across the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field and 9 years of product management experience, or 11 years of product management or related experience.
• Extensive experience with product strategy and roadmap development across multiple related products or large product areas.
• Proven ability to use advanced analytics, experimentation, and customer insights for data-driven decision-making.
• Strong senior-level stakeholder management, cross-functional influence, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Deep understanding of MVP creation, launch execution, product lifecycle management, and long-term optimization.
• Experience using market opportunities and emerging technologies, including AI and machine learning, to shape product vision.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, business administration, or a related area.
• Experience with consumer-facing, large-scale, highly complex B2B/C products and supervisory responsibilities.
• Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices.
