Business Analyst - IRB Application Specialist (Remote - PST Working Hours)

Location: Remote for candidates with U.S. work authorization; PST working hours. Listed location: Chicago, United States.

Salary: $65,000–$85,000 base annually; total estimated compensation of $71,500–$93,500 including incentive compensation.

What you will do

• Partner with product management and clients to identify product needs, priorities, and business requirements.
• Analyze current and future-state workflows, conduct fit/gap analyses, feasibility studies, and business cases.
• Translate business and functional requirements into technical specifications and product documentation.
• Provide subject matter expertise on IRB processes, medical research compliance, and research ethics.
• Coordinate user testing, system implementation, stakeholder training, and escalated support practices.
• Prepare audit and inspection documentation, mentor analysts, and support urgent requests when needed.

Requirements

• U.S. work authorization required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Business, Information Systems, Analytical Sciences, Healthcare, or a related field.
• At least 3 years of business analysis experience.
• Strong communication skills for working with technical and non-technical audiences.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Availability to work PST hours and occasionally respond outside normal business hours.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of process management and workflow optimization.
• Experience with ERP systems such as Workday or Salesforce.
• Experience in research administration and compliance.
