Staff Systems Engineer (Healthcare IT)

Location: Plano, Texas, United States; the role serves as the senior-most IT member in the Plano office.

Salary: $136,000–$160,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Define the multi-year architecture roadmap, standards, and security baselines for enterprise Windows and mixed-OS endpoint environments.
• Lead Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, and Windows Autopilot governance, including zero-touch provisioning and continuous compliance.
• Own vendor strategy, technical oversight, onboarding frameworks, and cross-functional alignment for enterprise technology partners.
• Architect and govern Cloud PC, Azure Virtual Desktop, VDI, and third-party remote environments for partners, contractors, and distributed teams.
• Establish hardware lifecycle, SaaS asset management, licensing, automation, IAM, and conditional-access strategies.
• Lead complex incident escalations and root-cause analyses while mentoring IT and engineering teams and partnering with Security, Compliance, Finance, Operations, and executive leadership.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Enterprise Architecture, or IT Infrastructure Operations.
• Deep expertise in Windows, Microsoft Entra ID, Intune, dynamic groups, conditional access, and Windows Autopilot.
• Experience architecting Cloud PC, Azure Virtual Desktop, or VDI environments for remote and third-party workforces.
• Advanced PowerShell and Python scripting, REST API integration, and experience automating cross-system IT processes with iPaaS platforms.
• Experience with macOS, Apple Business Manager, Jamf or Kandji, Google Workspace, and Okta.
• Experience designing infrastructure aligned with HIPAA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, or equivalent regulatory frameworks, plus the ability to communicate architecture to C-level stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Enterprise certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert, or CISSP.
• Experience implementing enterprise iPaaS and workflow platforms for identity lifecycle automation.
• Knowledge of Ubiquiti, ZTNA, SD-WAN, Okta, and Entra ID.
