Senior IT Systems Administrator

Location: San Francisco, CA — Full-time hybrid

Salary: $120,000–$155,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Administer Okta lifecycle management, including SSO, SAML/OIDC, SCIM, MFA, conditional access, RBAC, and least-privilege policies.
• Manage identity resources as code with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
• Lead access certifications and remediation in partnership with Security for SOC 2 and ISO 27001 compliance.
• Manage the macOS fleet through JAMF Pro, including zero-touch deployment, patching, and security compliance.
• Deploy and maintain SentinelOne, triage alerts, enforce ransomware protection, and handle threat remediation.
• Administer Google Workspace, provide Tier 2/3 support, automate IT workflows, and manage hardware and SaaS inventories.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in IT systems administration or a related role.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Hands-on Okta or comparable identity provider administration experience and knowledge of SSO, MFA, SCIM, and SAML/OIDC.
• Enterprise macOS fleet management experience with JAMF or similar MDM, SentinelOne or similar EDR/XDR, and Google Workspace.
• Understanding of DNS, DHCP, VPN, and technical troubleshooting.
• Strong technical documentation skills and the ability to manage multiple tickets and projects independently.

Nice to have

• Scripting experience with Bash, Python, or Google Apps Script.
• Experience with Windows endpoint management through Intune and SaaS tools such as Slack and Zoom.
• Experience preparing audits and supporting SOC 2, ISO 27001, or HIPAA controls.
• Okta Certified Administrator, JAMF Certified Admin, or CompTIA Security+ certification.
