Software Engineer II (Fintech)

Location: San Francisco, CA, United States; hybrid collaboration with teams coming into the office 10+ days per month.

Annual base salary: $140,000–$170,000 USD.

What you will do

• Develop and deploy backend services and internal tools for settlement, funding, and liquidity management.
• Automate manual financial operations in collaboration with Product Ops and Product.
• Contribute across the stack, including REST API handlers, database migrations, and React UI components.
• Support financial systems that move money in real time and participate in the on-call rotation.
• Write tested, reviewable code and contribute to technical design discussions.

Requirements

• 2–5 years of experience building and shipping production systems.
• Backend experience with Java, Go, Python, or TypeScript and object-oriented development.
• Experience contributing across backend APIs and UI components.
• Knowledge of relational databases, REST APIs, and basic distributed systems concepts.
• Clear communication with operations, finance, and product partners.
• Experience with financial systems, payments, operations automation, or agentic systems; familiarity with Spring Boot, Postgres, and React.

Nice to have

• Experience deploying closed-loop automation, approval workflows, reconciliation pipelines, or event-driven monitoring.
