Operations Supervisor Landfill

Location: Helena, MT, USA; full-time, onsite landfill operations.

What you will do

• Supervise Lead Operators, Operators, and General Laborers in the efficient operation of a landfill.
• Ensure adherence to fill sequencing plans, density goals, permits, operating standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Lead safety and accident-prevention programs and remove unsafe conditions from landfill operations.
• Coordinate with maintenance to keep equipment operational and compliant with safety standards.
• Manage productivity, labor hours, disposal expenses, service issues, equipment breakdowns, and schedule changes.
• Coach employees, develop talent, and build an engaged, collaborative team.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of lead or supervisory experience.
• Ability to direct a large staff and build high-performance teams.
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, critical-thinking, decision-making, and leadership skills.
• Experience in labor relations and collaborative team management.
• State certification as required by regulation.
• Process-oriented, results-oriented, ethical, and capable of pursuing aggressive operational goals.
