Field Service Technician – Electrical, Instrumentation and Industrial Automation

Location: Brisbane, Queensland, Australia; field work across Queensland and interstate locations

What you will do

• Commission, service, troubleshoot, and repair electric, pneumatic, and hydraulic actuators.
• Deliver preventative maintenance, breakdown response, and technical troubleshooting services.
• Complete installation, retrofit, testing, calibration, and equipment verification projects.
• Prepare detailed service and technical reports.
• Provide technical support to customers and site personnel while identifying upgrade opportunities.
• Support customers across water and wastewater, power generation, oil and gas, LNG, mining, manufacturing, ports, and infrastructure environments.

Requirements

• Current unrestricted Queensland Electrical Licence
• Strong industrial maintenance or field service experience.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics, loop diagrams, and technical drawings.
• Experience troubleshooting electrical and control systems.
• Strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Current driver's licence and willingness to travel throughout Queensland and interstate

Nice to have

• Experience with hirify.global actuators or valve automation.
• EEHA qualifications or hazardous-area experience.
• Instrumentation Certificate or dual-trade E&I qualification.
• Experience with PLC, SCADA, industrial control systems, calibration, or commissioning.
• Background in water, oil and gas, mining, or power generation.
