Service Engineer (PCS 7)

What you will do

• Provide expert remote and on-site technical support for Siemens PCS 7 DCS, Omnivise T3000, and related control systems.
• Monitor system health, analyze alarms and diagnostics, and resolve software, hardware, and network issues within agreed service levels.
• Support upgrades, migrations, patch management, backups, health checks, and root cause analysis.
• Act as a key technical contact for hotline services and build trusted customer relationships through clear resolution plans.
• Maintain technical documentation and knowledge articles while contributing to service reviews and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience with Siemens PCS 7 engineering, support, commissioning, troubleshooting, or lifecycle management.
• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, electronics, computer, automation, instrumentation engineering, or an equivalent qualification.
• Expert knowledge of PCS 7 Engineering Station and Operator Station administration.
• Working knowledge of SIMATIC S7 PLC platforms and industrial Ethernet and communication architectures.
• Ability to diagnose complex issues in critical plant environments and support customers remotely in a 24/7 service environment when required.
• Strong customer-facing communication, analytical, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• PCS 7 or equivalent Siemens automation certification.
• CCNA or equivalent industrial networking certification.
• Knowledge of Siemens Omnivise T3000 and an ISA/IEC 62443 certification.
