Material/Production Planner (Aerospace & Defense)

Location: Portland, Oregon, United States; onsite role requiring operation of a company-owned vehicle and a valid driver license.

Salary: $74,100–$100,000 per year.

What you will do

• Develop and maintain production schedules, production plans, and material requirements lists based on the Master Production Schedule.
• Plan labor loading, capacity requirements, and material availability across the full production cycle.
• Coordinate with Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Material Control, Quality, Production Supervisors, and Materials teams.
• Identify and communicate scheduling problems, material shortages, design changes, and backlogs to management.
• Use ERP systems, including SAP, to manage materials and production scheduling.

Requirements

• 4–6 years of planning experience, preferably in an electro-mechanical production environment.
• Experience in materials management and production scheduling.
• Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably SAP, and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong oral and written communication skills, accuracy, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple duties in a fast-paced environment.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Current, valid driver license in the state of residence and successful completion of a motor vehicle history check required.
• APICS training or certification strongly preferred.
