Legal Intern (AI Cybersecurity)

Location: NYC preferred; East Coast remote accepted

What you will do

• Draft, review, and redline commercial agreements, including NDAs and vendor agreements.
• Identify key contractual terms, legal risks, and open issues for the legal team.
• Build and organize a searchable repository of existing agreements.
• Evaluate AI tools for legal work and provide structured feedback on their usefulness and accuracy.
• Research privacy, employment, AI, commercial, and contract law questions and turn findings into actionable guidance.
• Support improvements to legal workflows, documentation, and processes.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing a J.D. and already completed a bachelor's degree.
• Strong legal research skills and the ability to explain research methodology and conclusions.
• Excellent attention to detail when reviewing defined terms, clauses, and agreements.
• Ability to identify legal issues and explain them clearly and concisely.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Organized, adaptable, and comfortable collaborating across a business.

Nice to have

• Curiosity about how AI is changing legal work and interest in testing new tools.
• Interest in legal operations within a technology company.
• Prior in-house, technology, cybersecurity, or commercial contracting experience is helpful but not required.

• Part-time internship of approximately 20 hours per week structured around the class schedule.

Hiring process

• Recruiter screen lasting approximately 30 minutes.
• Hiring manager interview with the Director of Legal Counsel lasting approximately 60 minutes.
• Final 60-minute interview with Finance Leadership.
