Legal Intern (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid or remote across Europe (hubs in Berlin, London, Tallinn). Must have the right to work in Germany.

What you will do

• Support the legal team on domestic and international projects, including drafting cooperation agreements.
• Research legal questions related to financial services regulation (e.g., WpIG, MiFID II, DORA).
• Conduct initial legal reviews and risk assessments of vendor agreements.
• Maintain and structure the contract management database.
• Collaborate on automating and improving internal processes using AI-based legal tech tools.
• Monitor regulatory developments from Bafin, ESMA, and EU legislation.

Requirements

• Completed first German law degree (Erste Juristische Prüfung, LL.B. or LL.M).
• Currently pursuing a doctorate (Promotion) or preparing for the (Zweite) Juristische Prüfung.
• Fluency in business English and German is required.
• Keen interest in financial services, capital markets, or regulatory law.
• Confident use of Google Workspace, MS Office, and AI tools.
