Electrical Engineering Technician I/II (Medtech)

Location: Fully onsite in San Diego, California, Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM PST

Salary: Level 1: $22.00-$25.00 per hour; Level 2: $26.00-$29.00 per hour

What you will do

• Support engineering experiments, product evaluations, verification, validation, and sustaining engineering activities.
• Operate, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic, electro-mechanical, and laboratory test systems.
• Collect, analyze, trend, and document test data, technical findings, and test summaries.
• Assist with test method, fixture, equipment, and prototype development and validation.
• Perform soldering, rework, repair, PCB assembly, and electronic hardware troubleshooting.
• Maintain laboratory equipment qualification, calibration, records, inventory, and 5S standards while guiding entry-level technicians.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in electronics, engineering technology, mechanical technology, or a related discipline is preferred.
• 0-2 years of experience for Level I and 2 years of relevant engineering, R&D, laboratory, manufacturing, or regulated technical experience for Level II.
• Experience operating and troubleshooting oscilloscopes, digital multimeters, power supplies, signal generators, and data acquisition systems.
• Hands-on experience with soldering, PCB assembly, and electronic hardware troubleshooting.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings, schematics, wiring diagrams, specifications, and test procedures.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of SolidWorks for viewing and reviewing engineering drawings and models.
• Familiarity with FDA, ISO 13485, GMP, GLP, or similar quality systems.
• Experience with statistical analysis, data trending, PLC-based systems, automated test systems, or industrial controls.
