Tooling Technician 1 (Injection Molding)

What you will do

• Assemble and disassemble injection molds and components for manufacturing production lines.
• Perform preventive mold maintenance and reactive repairs.
• Deliver production-ready injection molds within specified tolerances and timelines.
• Respond to mold repair issues related to injection molding machine troubleshooting.
• Support continuous improvement projects and perform related duties assigned by management.
• Follow GMP, EHS, quality, safety, and environmental procedures.

Requirements

• High school diploma.
• Working knowledge of mold components, injection molding processes, and quality-impacting attributes.
• Experience with tooling troubleshooting and repair, mechanical part design, prototyping, materials, and metalworking.
• Ability to work to tolerances of +/- 0.025 mm or +/- 0.001 inch and convert between standard and metric measurements.
• Basic Microsoft Office and internet skills, strong organization, prioritization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in an empowered manufacturing team and meet productivity, quality, safety, and environmental requirements.

Nice to have

• Two or more years of college in a technical field or equivalent industrial experience in mechanics, engine repair, injection molding, mold fabrication, electromechanical work, or tool and die fabrication.
