TL;DR
Craftsperson Machinist-Tool & Die Maker (2nd Shift) (Medtech): Manufacturing, modifying, and repairing precision tooling, fixtures, machine components, and assembly equipment for automation, extrusion, and injection molding operations with an accent on precision fabrication, troubleshooting, and quality workmanship. Focus on building production tooling, reducing downtime, supporting engineering initiatives, and maintaining machinery in a regulated healthcare manufacturing environment.

Location: Onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania, United States. Relocation is not available.

Hourly rate: $30.81–$36.93 plus shift differential

What you will do

  • Manufacture machine components, tooling, fixtures, and jigs for production equipment.
  • Machine, lay out, construct, modify, and repair assembly equipment.
  • Fabricate precision components supporting automation, extrusion, and injection molding processes.
  • Support engineering and production initiatives through troubleshooting and precision fabrication.
  • Maintain workmanship standards, minimize production downtime, and document work activities.
  • Collaborate with manufacturing teams and contribute to continuous improvement and production goals.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Mechanical aptitude and interest in machining and manufacturing.
  • Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical instructions.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
  • Ability to work onsite in Allentown, Pennsylvania.
  • Reliable attendance and ability to work non-standard schedules when needed.

Nice to have

  • Associate degree or technical/trade school training in machining, manufacturing technology, or a related field.
  • Industry certifications related to machining or manufacturing.
  • Prior machining or machine shop experience.
