Manufacturing Equipment Technician (MTE) - Front End Day Shift - Shift 5 (Semiconductor Manufacturing)

Location: On-site in Phoenix, Arizona, United States. Shift 5 runs from 6:00 AM to 6:15 PM on Sunday–Tuesday and alternating Wednesdays.

Salary: $51,710–$99,770 USD annually for an hourly role.

What you will do

• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues on advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
• Perform setup, calibration, corrective maintenance, and preventive maintenance on wet chemistry, plating, and high-vacuum toolsets.
• Monitor equipment performance and analyze data to identify reliability and efficiency improvements.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to reduce downtime and improve equipment performance.
• Document maintenance activities, repair findings, and parts usage according to established procedures.
• Contribute to continuous improvement projects focused on equipment optimization and manufacturing yield.

Requirements

• One of the following: a STEM bachelor's degree related to semiconductor manufacturing; a related STEM associate degree plus 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience; a non-semiconductor high school diploma/GED or higher plus 4+ years of related hands-on or military technical experience; a non-semiconductor high school diploma/GED or higher plus 2.5+ years of related equipment maintenance experience; or a technical/trade certification or 3+ years of technical experience.
• Ability to lift 25-pound parts, climb ladders, and stand or walk for up to 80% of the workday.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to collaborate with engineering teams and peers.

Nice to have

• 1+ year of experience troubleshooting, installing, repairing, and operating electromechanical equipment in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Experience with wet chemistry, plating, or high-vacuum equipment.
• Proficiency with multimeters, oscilloscopes, calipers, micrometers, torque wrenches, and standard hand tools.
• Ability to read and interpret complex electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
