Civil Programs Project Manager (Aerospace)

Location: Onsite 90% in Columbus, Mississippi, when not traveling; the role may also be based in Grand Prairie, Texas. Travel includes domestic and international trips.

Eligibility: Must be a U.S. Person under ITAR, such as a U.S. citizen, green card holder, or person covered under an existing ITAR license.

What you will do

• Coordinate cross-functional teams to complete aircraft projects on schedule, within budget, and to required quality standards.
• Guide customers through aircraft acquisition and completion while managing customer experience and contractual commitments.
• Develop and maintain project schedules in MS Project, including critical-path analysis and performance tracking.
• Build and validate project budgets using MS Excel and MS Access, incorporating actuals and change orders.
• Manage contracts from proposal through completion, including contractual changes and change-order impacts.
• Assess risks, lead difficult issues, and keep project teams, customers, and leadership informed of progress.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or program management, or equivalent experience.
• At least three years of project management experience in a production or technical environment.
• Financial experience for budgeting and technical experience interpreting technical data packages.
• Strong planning, crisis-management, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Strong command of English and proficiency with MS Project, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, MS Outlook, MS Access, and G-Suite.
• Current U.S. work authorization and ITAR eligibility are required; visa sponsorship is not available for this U.S. position.
