Location: San Francisco, United States; onsite work at the Northern California headquarters
Base salary: $160,000–$210,000 USD per year, plus equity and benefits

What you will do
- Directly manage and grow a team of junior and senior electrical engineers.
- Define spacecraft compute, networking, and power distribution requirements and architectures with multidisciplinary teams.
- Oversee in-house hardware and systems design, implementation, verification, board bring-up, and debugging.
- Manage hardware development schedules and align them with overall spacecraft program milestones.
- Own technical relationships with component suppliers and ensure robust, high-performance solutions.
- Support recruiting, production, and mission operations for avionics components and spacecraft hardware.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience with fast-paced product design cycles.
- 5+ years of board-level electronics hardware design experience from concept through production.
- Hands-on experience designing, building, and testing hardware from scratch.
- Experience building and managing engineering teams and communicating across disciplines.
- Strong analog and mixed-signal circuit design skills.
- US Citizenship, lawful permanent residency, or other protected US status is required due to space technology export regulations.
Nice to have
- Experience with signal conditioning, sensors, electromechanical actuators, power switches, embedded computers, or related hardware.
- Experience with FPGAs, microcontrollers, RS-485, SPI, Ethernet, or I2C.
- Strong knowledge of C, C++, or Python.
- Radiation effects knowledge and environmental testing experience.
