Derivatives Airframe Mech Sys Senior Design Engineer (Military Derivatives)

Location: Getafe Area, Spain; hybrid working is available when possible.

What you will do

• Define mechanical systems from system architecture for military derivative aircraft programs.
• Specify mechanical components for purchasing and prepare parts documentation for manufacturing.
• Prepare mechanical systems installation documentation for aircraft assembly.
• Design and validate mechanical system installation components and assemblies optimized for weight, cost, performance, production, assembly, and safety.
• Support production, service, testing, delivery, troubleshooting, and continuous product improvement activities.
• Coordinate technical solutions with supply chain, quality, purchasing, manufacturing, production, stress analysis, airworthiness, certification, and other stakeholders.

Requirements

• Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.
• More than 7 years of engineering experience in a design or airframe department.
• Experience with mechanical systems installation design and CATIA V5.
• Professional experience designing fluid systems installations, including hydraulic, fuel, and pneumatic systems, as well as equipment installations.
• Advanced English and Spanish at native-speaker level are required.
• Strong adaptability, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to propose new ideas and work in a networked environment.
