Mechanical Engineer Intern (HVAC)

What you will do

• Develop project calculations, reports, construction drawings, specifications, schedules, and installation details.
• Design and engineer HVAC, mechanical utility, plumbing, fire protection, and other building support systems.
• Perform load calculations, utility assessments, energy modeling, code evaluations, and design coordination.
• Assist with conceptual designs under the direction of a project team lead and assigned mentor.
• Coordinate deliverables with regulatory bodies, vendors, clients, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams.
• Use computer-aided drafting and engineering software to support project delivery.

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex data and develop actionable insights.
• Willingness to communicate and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders.
• Eagerness to learn about the AEC industry and apply academic knowledge to engineering projects.

Nice to have

• Experience with HVAC systems.
• Progress toward or completion of Fundamental of Engineering Exam registration.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360 Suite, or Assemble.
• Familiarity with AEC regulations and standards.
• Prior Mechanical Engineering internship or co-op experience.
