Electronic Warfare System Engineer (Electronic Warfare Systems)

Location: Donauwörth, Germany; onsite work at the hirify.global site and on-site test airfield. Occasional international business travel is required. A reduced-hours option of 30 hours per week is available with an adapted scope of tasks.

hirify.global develops helicopters and aerospace systems from initial concepts through airworthy products, including military helicopter self-protection solutions.

What you will do

• Manage the development and integration of electronic warfare and self-protection systems into militarized helicopters.
• Contribute to system requirements specifications and review technical supplier proposals with design and procurement teams.
• Review supplier documentation and prepare and conduct design and qualification reviews.
• Manage technical interfaces between helicopter systems, emitters, electromagnetic interference, and electronic warfare sensors.
• Define system integration rig and helicopter test requirements and support bench and flight tests.
• Prepare documentation for certification and qualification activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree with additional qualification, or Master's degree, in aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, or a comparable field; alternatively, completed vocational training with qualified technician training and relevant extended experience.
• Professional experience in systems engineering, ideally focused on electronic warfare systems.
• Experience in supplier management and technical vendor coordination.
• Strong organizational, teamwork, and communication skills with a proactive willingness to learn.
• English at negotiation level is required.
• Willingness to undertake occasional international business travel.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of German or French.
