Eurodrone Overall RPAS Design Chief Engineer (UAV)

What you will do

• Lead the overall Eurodrone RPAS design and integrate all level 1 sub-products across the full lifecycle.
• Evaluate aircraft configurations, RPAS architectures, flight-chain designs, and related system requirements.
• Coordinate safety-critical flight-chain solutions covering the ground safety-critical control station, flight management, flight management and automatic landing systems, and safe flight and landing systems.
• Manage the technical baseline, design changes, configuration maturity, and alignment with programme milestones and safety objectives.
• Define the certification and qualification roadmap with customers and regulatory bodies.
• Coordinate flight physics, handling qualities, integration, and verification activities from analysis and simulation through system testing and flight testing.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Aerospace Engineering or an equivalent qualification.
• More than 8 years of relevant engineering experience and demonstrated team leadership.
• Deep knowledge of flight dynamics, flight mechanics, flight control laws, overall aircraft design, and overall system design.
• Extensive experience developing flight control systems, including DAL-A software.
• Operational knowledge of UAS or aircraft operations, particularly automatic take-off and landing.
• Proven project and technical management experience with exceptional English at negotiation level.
