Highly Integrated System Architect

Location: Manching, Germany; mobile working and flexible working arrangements are available where possible.

What you will do

• Define aircraft-level system concepts by translating operational needs into high-level technical and performance requirements.
• Develop functional multisystem architectures covering avionics processing, communications, timing, modularity, and shared platform resources.
• Lead the definition, integration, verification, validation, and certification activities for aircraft systems from L1 to L3.
• Coordinate Module Integrators, IV&V Integrators, platform integrators, hardware/software integrators, and design offices.
• Establish reusable reference architectures for multiple programs and platforms while managing platform obsolescence.
• Act as Technical Authority for shared aircraft computing and network infrastructure, including robustly partitioned resources.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or a similar discipline.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in a related field.
• Advanced knowledge of aircraft system design, aircraft and system architecture, MBSE, and MATLAB Simulink.
• Advanced knowledge of systems V&V processes at L1/L2/L3 levels and aircraft system certification.
• Experience defining and executing end-to-end operational test scenarios and using multisystem integration test rigs.
• English at negotiation level is required. Leadership, autonomous decision-making, and problem-solving skills are also expected.

• Knowledge of virtual engineering and digital twins.
• Experience with agile methodologies, Jira, and Confluence.
